Charles H. Clibborn
Charles Hovenden Clibborn - One report states that Mr Clibborn started the St. Matthew's Church Troop. A newspaper clipping of his obituary (16 Dec 1965) simply states "He was instrumental in forming the St. Matthew's (Lady Liverpool's Own) Troop of Boy Scouts, and was secretary of its committee for seven years. The troop records indicate he was the Honorary Secretary from 1922 - 1926.
What we do know is that Mr. Clibborn was the uncle of one of the 8 Avonside Boy Scouts who came to form the new St. Matthews Troop. He was also very active in the St. Matthew's Church Mens Association.
